1. Who we are

Gold24Price (“we”, “us”) operates a WhatsApp bot that provides live gold price information. This policy explains what data we collect through the bot and how we use it.

2. Data we collect

• WhatsApp phone number and display name — provided automatically by WhatsApp when you message the bot.
• Preferences — your chosen language and currency, so we can remember them for next time.
• Approximate location— only when you voluntarily share your location to find nearby gold shops. We round coordinates to approximately 1 km precision and store only a city-level label (e.g. “Dubai”). We never store your exact GPS position.
• Usage events — which features you use (prices, currency change, shop search) in aggregate, to improve the service.

3. How we use your data

• Deliver gold price information in your preferred currency.
• Remember your preferences so you don’t have to re-enter them.
• Show aggregate usage trends (e.g. most popular currencies) to improve the product.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

The bot runs on Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. Messages are processed through Meta’s infrastructure subject to WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy. Our server infrastructure is hosted on Vercel (USA) and our database on Neon (USA).

5. Data retention

We retain your preferences and usage data for as long as you use the bot. If you stop using the service, your data is automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity. You can request deletion at any time by messaging “delete my data” to the bot or contacting us below.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the bot.
